Governor Parson KCMO Talk Radio (Kansas City): Pete Mundo Show: Gov. Parson says he is “not a big fan” of incentive programs, but wants to move the needle on vaccinations.
900 Missourians will get a $10,000 through vaccination lottery.
Right at the 4 minute mark Governor Parson says that it’s a way to reward people who have done the right thing.
Missouri is also working on a second vaccine incentive program, which would allow local public health agencies to offer up to $25 gift cards for each person who is vaccinated, for a total of up to $11 million. That would mean incentives for up to 440,000 vaccinations.
Local public health agencies have to apply by Aug. 15. The program will be paid for through immunization grant funds that are directed to the state by the CDC. StlToday

At 9:50 he restates his opposition to a statewide mask mandate and even says that if local governments become too restrictive he believes the state should step in.

Governor Parson put up a facebook post in which he says “critical race theory has no business being taught in Missouri Classrooms…” and then he goes on to say that most Missouri schools are not teaching it but instead are helping students learn the important things they need to understand each others differences in the workforce… things like, well, critical race theory.
